2004 dodge 1500 hemi
Description
Honestly, I don't want to sell my truck. I love it a lot. I have had it for about 6-7 years, it is a good truck but could use someone who is good with vehicles. I have put a lot of parts into it but needs a couple more. It does have some rust, I wish I fixed it before it got too bad, but I didn't. It has about 238,000 on it. The paint isn't great, but people always still stop me to tell me nice truck, and they love the flames and rims.. there's big clear coat patches missing and a couple little hail dents. And could use a windshield, 1 headlight doesn't work, it has to be a harness issue because I've tried putting in new lights, high beams work but regular light, the one doesn't work. It has 4x4
A couple years ago I put in:
rear pinion seal, topped up diff fluid in front and rear
Upper and lower ball joints and wheel alignment
New plugs and wires
New steering rack
Fuel pump (cut a hole in box and riveted back on)
Thermostat
Breaks and rotors
Within last year I put in:
PCM
Battery posts
Throttle body
Alternator
Cv axel on driver side.
I know there is more that was put in but can't remember at the moment.
It does smell like antifreeze for a second when turning heat on and then goes away so I'm thinking it will need a heater core soon, and a clunk in the front end somewhere, and a draw in the battery or just needs a higher cranking amp one because when it gets cold, it doesn't wanna start even when plugged in. Gas gauge doesn't work, kicks in sometimes and then says it's full most the time when it's not, top connection plug to pcm needs a new lock piece to lock into place but still works
Engine light is on.
Other than it's few issues, it has always ran and drove really nice, it's smooth even with the mud tires, plug for trailer lights work, sometimes the door panel lock doesn't work, passangers can't open windows, but driver can open them...it has a after market deck and wired for subs, recently took the wire and fuse off from the battery to try and see if it was causing the draw, but it's in the center console, has locking wheel nuts and aftermarket rims.
I'm honestly sad to sell my truck, but I need something with less issues cuz I have to pick kids up from school, in summer time the truck is great, it's mostly cold it doesn't like, I have a mustang for summer so I need a winter truck...I'm asking $6500 cuz honestly it's an awesome truck, if I could just find out what the starting problem is.
