Description
Yamaha Natural Sound RX-V557 6.1 Surround Receiver in excellent condition, not a mark or scratch on it. Comes with remote control although you can program your cel phone to operate this receiver also. This is an excellent sounding and working receiver built with Yamaha high spec components. Transformer and power supply is Yamaha high current design with higher quality audio filters for those who want to hear all the fine details. This RX V557 does not have HDMI, but, I am a fan of running the audio from source to the receiver with optical audio and the video separately from the source to avoid the common trouble of the voices not matching up to the mouths during some movies and TV shows. It does not come with the surround setup microphone, but, I can rent you one to use to do your setup then refund 75% back to you upon returning it to me in the same condition as when you took it.
* Power Output ~ 90 watts RMS per channel with full 20-20kHz audio with an 8ohm loading using 2 channel stereo mode
* Power Output ~ 105 watts RMS per channel with full 20-20kHz audio with a 6ohm speaker load in 2 channel stereo mode
* Power Output ~ 125 watts RMS per channel with full 20-20kHz audio with a 4ohm speaker loading in 2 channel stereo mode
* Power Output ~ 65 watts RMS per channel with full 20-20kHz audio using 8ohm speaker loading full 6 channels output.
* Dynamic Power ~ 120watts/channel - 8ohm, 155watts per channel - 6ohm, 190watts per channel - 4ohm,
235watts per channel - 2ohm
* Damping Factor ~ Greater than 120, this number describes an amplifiers ability to control speaker cone movement at near or full output power .... 50 is average, 100 is a sign of a well designed and assembled amplifier, 120 and higher is a high spec component, designed and built unit capable of what sounds to your ears like a whole lot more output power.

* Front panel mounted USB input/output
* Enhancer mode for compressed audio ~ The "Enhancer" feature is specifically designed to improve the sound quality of compressed audio formats (like MP3s) by restoring some of the lost data, making the sound "fuller".
* Zone 2 ~ 2 channel pre-amp output for a second room.
* Optical Audio Inputs ~ 1 front mount, 3 rear mount
* It can be packed safely for shipping just about anywhere as i have shipped gear as far away as BC in Canada and down as far as Florida and across as far as Ohio in the states.
* I have been servicing other peoples speakers and equipment for over 25yrs, I inspect and test all my own equipment and drivers before listing them, If they need service work I try to ensure everything is working the way it is supposed to before it is sold to anyone.
* If I replace surrounds, I warranty them for 36months - where else can you get warranty on repairs?
* If the crossovers need new Capacitors, I replace them.

There are too many 'Kijijites' out there who make offers and claim they are coming 'Right Out' ,then climb back into the woodwork and disappear. Put your money where your mouth is. If you are serious about something and want me to hold it for you for a week or less then send me a deposit. If it is not like I claim it to be when you come to see it then I will refund your deposit.
* (4). - Please remember that some brand new or seldom used older gear that has been sitting may work for years without troubles, or, it also may develop small troubles simply from lack of use. There is no warranty that comes with my gear no matter the condition unless I state it clearly in the ad. That being said if a piece of gear develops some troubles, give me a call and let me see if I can help you out. I like to think that I am a reasonable person within reason.
* (5).- There is no cure for misuse and abuse or just plainly being a 'Dumbass'. If you are unsure about how something wires up or works Ask Questions!! There is nothing more frustrating that talking with someone who was too proud to ask for assistance, but, instead wires up something wrong, burns or blows it up then attempts to blame their own mistakes on someone else.
