1.5 yr old Poodle/Chihuahua X $200
Description
Meet our little guy. He’s a 1.5 yr old Poodle/Chihuahua X. He’s the most cuddly dog, affectionate and sweet. Wants nothing more than to be on your lap and be with you. We love him to pieces.
Sadly, our senior dog has taught him food aggression and she’s becoming aggravated with him in general. This is something we have been working on, but it’s been a challenge. He is not at all aggressive towards people, only to other animals when it comes to food and treats. He’s great at the dog park and loves other dogs, just don’t get food in the mix.
For this reason, no homes with children under the age of 12 and no other pets unless you are experienced in this behaviour.
We had found him a new home previously, they had another dog and it went ok because it was submissive. However, he started peeing in their house. I’m unsure if he was marking his territory or it was the change. We took him back.( This was a few months ago) He does not pee in our home. I feel this may be a temporary problem while he adjusts, but I can’t be certain.
He would do best in a quiet, no other animals home.
He’s never been left alone, he’s always had our other dog with him. I don’t feel a home where he’s left all day would be ideal for him. He is a needy dog that requires attention. Not in a negative way, he simply loves to be with you at all times. Loves to sleep in bed with you during the night, he won’t disturb you, just soundly sleeps cuddled into you. He’s never been crated and I feel this would cause him anxiety. He is a people dog. He is spoiled in the sense that he gets lots of attention and cuddles.
The agreement is that he will be returned to us if his new home doesn’t work out. We are more than willing to watch him while his new owners go on vacation, etc.
He is neutered and up to date on shots. He has been DNA & Health Tested, can provide this info.
I would like updates on his new home. This is a tough decision and something that a lot of thought has been put into. Please have the financial means to have him annually taken to the vet and any emergency’s that arise.
