This elegant, two bedroom, two bath, main floor garden condo, with three air conditioners, fast wifi throughout, fully equipped kitchen, and laundry room, is the perfect retreat for two couples or a family to relax and enjoy a vacation in the lush Quintana Roo state, with ample room for everyone. Enjoy the pool with its stunning jungle backdrop and soak up the sun on one of the many loungers. Adjacent to the pool is a palapa with a gas BBQ, sink and table with chairs. Keep an eye out for monkeys, toucans and other wildlife around the pool! The private natural beach is a 15 minute walk or a 10 minute bike ride, within the gated community, on one of the two bikes that we have provided for our renter's use. One designated parking spot is provided. Day passes can be purchased for the Grand Sirenis resort CURRENTLY about for $120 US per person (PRICES MAY CHANGE BY SEASON). This is a very well-designed attractive villa. There is great attention to detail in both the furnishings and layout. We were both impressed by the tasteful decorative touches from the dried flowers to tile mosaics on the walls. An example of the design is the large built in closets in the upstairs bedrooms. I have never stayed in a rental with as much closet and drawer space. The property was extremely clean and well-maintained. The beds were all comfortable. The villa is spacious both in the grounds and inside. Where some may have been tempted to have 4 or 5 bedrooms, the 3 good sized bedroom and large living areas given a certain dignity and sense of spaciousness. The kitchen was well equipped as far as pots and pans, dishes and cutlery. The appliances all worked.
There was a beautiful view of the valley from this hillside location from both inside the villa and the outside terraces and pool deck. One can see Alvor, Lagos and Portimao along the coast and amazing twinkling lights at night time. The villa and around the pool deck is very private. The villa is set well back from the road down a steep dead end lane and so no passing traffic. The location gives a sense of peacefulness.
We walked into the lovely town of Monchique a few times and also ate at the nice restaurant at the top of the lane - O Luar da Foia, rated highly in Tripadvisor. You need to be reasonably fit given the road is steep. Monchique has a large modern InterMarche supermarket and some smaller grocery stores and butcher shops. There are also a number of pleasant cafes. There is a large shopping mall in Portimao. A car is recommended. If you have one, the villa makes a good base for exploring the region.
The west coast is about 30 min away by secondary road, while Portimao and the A22 main tollway is about 15 min south. We went as far as Odeceixe in the north west. Despite the weather during or stay in November, we were able to use the pool a bit when the sun was shining. We would not hesitate to rent from Nigel again. He was easy to deal with and extremely responsive to any questions. Given its high quality, the villa is a real bargain in the low and shoulder season. Highly recommend it.-TripAdvisor

Every night was a theme night, and a wonderful night out...VERY ROMANTIC! The days are filled with activities and games...you can watch or participate...but VERY entertaining. The entertainment staff is incredible. We didn’t stop laughing the entire week! We participated in and even won some games. We loved beach volleyball, tequila volleyball, the pageants, the iron man competition, battle of the sexes, couples trivia, music and movie trivia, daring darts, and numerous other activities. Never a dull moment! Even though this is ADULT ONLY and ADULT THEMES, we found it very comfortable. Not everyone is topless but if you chose to go topless it is not a big deal as everyone is very comfortable. The resort is very classy. We are NEVER bored and we have so much fun! Easy access to the clubs and nightlife (Coco Bongo, Senior Frogs, The City), but there is so much fun at Temptation that you probably won't want to leave!
