Chestnut Fox Canoe - 14 ft
Description
This 14 foot Chestnut Canoe was purchased in 1974 -75. It was the second to the last one made at the Chestnut factory. Exterior hull treated with double boiled linseed oil. Recanvased with 15 oz
canvas. Sealed with Latex Mastic RT, three coats. Two coats of oil based primer.
Seven coats of Fishermans Red oil based paint. Out whales treated with gun oil.
Interior treated with double boiled linseed oil. Canoe is in better than new condition. Asking $4000 or any reasonable offer. Please contact Ernst at [hidden information] if interested.
Specifications:
• Weight approximately 60 lbs.
• Inch and a half ribs spaced an inch and a half to two inches apart.
• Original decal on bow showing it manufactured in Oromocto NB.
• Second last canoe sold from that location.
