Volunteer student accountant looking for position
Description
Hi everyone! I am a second year student attending uOttawa, currently doing my BCom in accounting. I am not in the CO-OP program but I’m looking to get some hands-on experience before graduating.
I was wondering if anyone knows of volunteering opportunities (bookkeeping/assistant/shadowing) during the Summer, possibly for a NPO or a small business that would be willing to mentor a student.
I plan on continuing to contact churches/charities/tax clinics, but it would be super appreciated if anyone here could point me in the direction of a role, or needs work themselves!
Happy to share my resume with anyone interested! Though I’m still building expertise, I can promise I’m eager to learn as much as possible. Also I am open to continue working (volunteering) throughout the school year!
