Join us this summer for Equine Excellence’s new horsemanship program:
Introduction to Horse – Human Interactions: Communication & Connection!
Introduction to Horse-Human Interactions is an experiential learning program designed and facilitated by Sonia Smith (M.Ed.) and Amanda Lyons (Equestrian Canada Licensed Coach). It is an eight-week program where students will learn horsemanship skills as outlined by Equestrian Canada, in addition to communication skills that may translate into other relationships. Please note that there is no riding in this program.
Equine Excellence offers quality western horsemanship instruction in a safe and regulated environment. Amanda has over 40 years of experience in the horse industry with 30 years of coaching experience, achieving and maintaining her status as an Equestrian Canada Western Certified Coach in 1990 and a Western Certified Licensed Coach in 2021. Sonia has trained beneath her in the Learn to Ride Program since 2020 and has past experience as a competitor within the National Reining Horse Association. She has a Master of Education in School and Counselling Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan.
Equine Excellence is focusing on small class sizes to optimize learning within this program, and offering a daytime and evening session to fit your schedule. The dates are as follows: August 4th, 11th, 18th, & 25th & September 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th. Sessions are offered at 11:00am or 5:30pm.
No previous horse experience is required! This program is suitable for individuals ages 12+. Investment for this 8-week program is $480+tax which must be paid upfront.
