OVERALL CONDITION:
This rare-optioned vehicle was purchased in 2019, and was imported directly from Japan through a broker. All maintenance stickers and factory tags are in Japanese, and the
Japanese-market VX Limited was the range-topping version, and included features not
offered on the contemporary North American Land Cruiser, including dual climate control, adjustable shock absorbers and rear mounted spare tire. This was originally equipped with an Active Vacation package (AVP). It was removed to make room for all the recent improvements. Over $30,000 has been spent on upgrades, including audio/video. Highlights are noted above. All installations were professionally done. The owner has receipts and photos to document and support the majority of maintenance and upgrades.
Our visual inspection shows suspension, steering exhaust and brake systems are very good. Shocks are brand new. The body is very solid and original, with no signs of rust, repairs, or damage. The rare diesel motor runs strong and, at the time of our visual inspection, showed no fluid leaks or mechanical problems. The factory trim code is FQ10. All exterior trim and moldings are very good, with only minor fading and dings visible. The exterior 2 stage code 6M1 finish is very good. All glass is intact, with only minor chipping evident. The wheels and tires are in good condition. The undercarriage, floor and engine bay are solid, with no rust, repairs, or damage evident. The interior seats and carpet are very good, showing only minimal wear.
The vehicle has no rust and has been rust proofed annually. It is stored annually throughout winter, and has never been winter driven.
This car would be classed at #2 Fine: well restored, or a combination of superior restoration and excellent original.
