Meet Max

Max is a handsome 21 mos purebred intact male shepherd. Max is intelligent, playful and always looking for an adventure. While he can be full of enthusiasm he also has a sweet gentle affectionate side and enjoys spending time with his person. I'm looking for an experienced home that understands the German Shepherd breed and is committed to continuing his training and development. He would thrive with someone who is active, home often and willing to provide the structure, exercise and mental stimulation he needs.
Max has a great recall off leash but needs work on leash manners . Max loves to put a chase on cats and has not been properly socialized. He just loves the chase.
Max is good with kids but gets excited and has a tendency to sometimes jump . Max has a high energy level so I strongly prefer that Max goes to a home where he can thrive with plenty of exercise and play . He is not a dog that would be happy spending most of his time confined indoors or kenneled / tethered somewhere.
Max is a wonderful dog with a lot of potential but he needs the right environment to thrive. Max has the spirit of an Alpha dog but because I already have an Alpha male he doesn't allow Max to get cuddles or affection from the humans and I'm afraid they're going to fight and seriously hurt each other .
Max is a wonderful dog with a lot of potential he would make an excellent companion for the right person. Finding him the right home that can meet his needs and provide him with consistency, training, exercise and plenty of love is my top priority. I care deeply for Max so finding him the right home is more important than finding him a quick placement.
