XDRV 0630 - Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program
Thompson Rivers University is an authorized delivery provider of the mandatory Authorized Inspectors (AI) Program. Program eligibility requires participants to hold Trade Qualification (TQ) in Automotive, Truck, Transport, or Heavy Duty. This 20-hour course is comprised of theoretical and in-shop training and will cover the following content:
- Classes of motor vehicles
- Motor Vehicle Act and Regulations
- Designated Inspection Facility Program
- Preventative Maintenance Program
- Inspector Qualifications and Responsibilities
- Responsibilities of Facility Operators and Inspectors
- The Commercial Vehicle Inspection Manual
- Forms completion and decal application
- Vehicle Inspection e-forms general procedures and how to sign up
- Authorized Inspectors examination
Required Materials: 2016 Vehicle Inspection Manual (hard copy), CSA-approved footwear, safety glasses
