Drone Emergency Response Training

This 40-hour, 5-day Emergency Response with Drones Training Program, equips students with the skills to safely deploy drones and leverage geospatial tools in real-world emergency scenarios. The program combines classroom learning, GIS and mapping workflows, and hands-on field operations to simulate conditions encountered during wildfire events, search and rescue operations, and flood assessments. This course is subsidized by the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills.

Details
Applicants must be at least 16 years old, be comfortable using computers and mobile apps, be physically able to participate in outdoor field operations, have basic navigation and mapping skills, and commit to following safety and regulatory protocols.

Basic drone pilot experience is highly recommended, but not necessary.
