Looking for a Silat Instructor – Willing to Travel

Are you a skilled Silat practitioner or instructor?

I’m seeking an in-person teacher to guide me in the traditional art of Silat, with a focus on energy flow drills such as Hubud, partner exercises, and practical self-defense techniques.

Details:

Location: I am based near Salmon Arm, BC, but I’m willing to travel within the region or beyond for the right instructor.

Experience Level: Beginner in Silat, with martial arts experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo.

Training Preference: In-person lessons only (private or group sessions).

Focus Areas: Hubud drills, energy flow techniques, traditional Silat movements, and practical applications.

What I’m Looking For:

An experienced Silat instructor who specializes in energy drills, flow techniques, and traditional forms.

Someone who emphasizes the art’s cultural significance, and real-world effectiveness.

Flexible with location or willing to host training sessions accessible to Salmon Arm or nearby areas
