XHRT 0780 - Pest Management and Pesticide Applicator Certificate
This course is intended for persons applying pesticides or seeking employment in the landscape, industrial vegetation, or forestry industries and wishing to write the provincial examination for the Pesticide applicator certificate.
Topics covered will include product labels, safe handling, legislation, practice questions for calibration, and management of common pest problems, including non-pesticide methods. It will prepare participants to write the Provincial examination on the fourth day to obtain a Pesticide Applicator Certificate.
Dates: March 18-21, 2025 (Tuesday-Friday)
Times: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
Course Duration: 4 days (26 learning hours)
Fee: $395
Required Materials: Study materials in their appropriate category from the King’s Printer at www.crownpub.bc.ca (select “Categories” then “Pesticide courses”). Allow three full weeks for delivery.
Exam Fee: The examination fee is an additional $90.00, which is paid to the province directly.
