Location: North Durham Taekwondo Academy
Job Type: Part-Time, Permanent (10-25 hours/week)
Salary: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
Schedule:

Weekdays: 3:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Weekends: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM (or as needed)
Additional availability for events (tournaments, camps, promotions, birthdays, etc.)

Are you a passionate Taekwondo Instructor looking to make an impact? North Durham Taekwondo Academy is looking for an energetic, dedicated, and skilled instructor to motivate, train, and inspire students of all ages and skill levels.

This is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to build confidence, discipline, and leadership skills in our students while growing in a supportive and dynamic martial arts community.

What You'll Do:
✅ Teach engaging, high-energy Taekwondo classes (beginner to advanced levels)
✅ Motivate and mentor students to reach their full potential
✅ Ensure student safety and enforce dojang rules & policies
✅ Monitor progress and provide feedback for improvement
✅ Assist in planning tournaments, testing, camps, and special events
✅ Work alongside a team to grow and promote our academy

What We’re Looking For:
✔️ Minimum 2nd Dan Black Belt (Kukkiwon certified)
✔️ Strong teaching, communication, and leadership skills
✔️ Ability to instruct students of all ages (kids, teens, and adults)
✔️ Passion for Taekwondo & student development
✔️ First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
✔️ Vulnerable Sector Check required

Experience in martial arts instruction (5+ years preferred)
Teaching/coaching experience (2+ years preferred)
Ability to manage & motivate a class of 30+ students
