About us
Volare Auto is located in the Town of Oliver BC, Canada’s wine capital. The shop has been established in this location since 2006; under new ownership and name change in 2021. Large 4 bay shop with 6 hoists, up-to-date electronic software and diagnostic equipment. Volare’s primary business is the repair and maintenance of domestic and import vehicles, tire sales and repair, for individual and fleet customers.
Volare is also located within minutes of the Area 27 Motorsports Park. In addition to the personal and commercial vehicle customer base, Volare provides custom track car setup, performance upgrades and maintenance for racing enthusiasts. Membership at Area 27 permits on track testing and tuning, access to track days and other events.
Job Opportunity
Volare Auto Group is currently seeking a full-time (40 hrs/wk) certified technician. This is a skilled position which will primarily involve repairing, servicing and maintaining cars and light duty trucks. Part-time applications may also be considered.
General Duties Include:
- Inspecting, testing, diagnosing and repairing automotive systems and components.
- Performing general scheduled maintenance on vehicles.
- Completing work in a timely, safe and efficient manner, ensuring that any work and diagnostics are completed correctly the first time.
- Keep accurate records of work completed, parts used and recommendations.
- Effectively communicate repair status and mechanical findings to supervisor.
- Ensuring that the work area clean, organized, and safe
Specific duties may include (but not limited to): Front-end component repair, engine repair (gas and diesel), 2- and 4-wheel drive train maintenance and repair, electrical and electronic systems, diagnostics, alignment, steering and suspension, exhaust system, brake systems, hydraulic systems, fuel and emission systems, ignition and electrical systems, automatic transmission, standard transmission, AC, cooling and heating systems.
Requirements
- Must have a Red Seal /Journeyman automotive certification.
- A minimum of 3 years experience as an Automotive Technician is preferred - wage based on experience.
- Experience with performance upgrades and track cars is an asset.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Provide acceptable references related to prior work experience.
Pay
- Wage $35.00 per hour plus statutory benefits. Negotiable based on experience.
