Neverland Tea Cottage, Naramata Hiring Front and Back of house for April (Vancouver training for the suitable candidates)
If you've been to either of our Neverland locations (Vancouver or Naramata), then you already know we are all about creating the best possible experience for our guests. The number one way to achieve that is ensuring that our staff has the best possible working experience. It seems obvious, but we're told it isn't always the case.
We value each person for the individual they are, rather than the job they are filling. Collaboration is high on our list, and we want everyone to feel inspired and confident enough to put their stamp on what Neverland brings to each guest.
Our Vancouver location opened in 2013 in Vancouver, Kitsilano. We brought that experience and a few key people to our Naramata location, which opened in June 2021. Sarah, our Manager and Heather, our pastry chef, both worked in our Vancouver location, and we are so grateful to have them leading our team in Naramata. To say they rocked 2021 is an understatement! They are also a lot of fun to work with.
We had a hugely successful first year with our expansive outdoor seating serving our famous high teas, gourmet sandwiches, salads, wine, bubbles, tea and, of course, tipsy teas.
We closed at the end of December for a seasonal break (after an incredible Christmas month) and are ready to open our doors for the 2022 season on April 15, just in time for Easter Weekend. Easter high tea is a big deal in Vancouver, and we can't wait to bring it to the Okanagan!
So that's us, but now YOU. If you love working somewhere you can feel proud of (super cute and delicious food), with a team that will always have your back and a clientele that really helps to make every day a pleasure, then we want to hear from you. Passionate, responsible and kind are high on our want list, but beyond that, we'd rather meet you than dictate your specific qualifications. Here's the gist:
KITCHEN STAFF
Chef/Cook/Food Fanatic: We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate who wants to bring their ideas and creativity to our menu. High tea is our biggest seller, and we get really creative with the savouries, but we also have tremendous potential for other areas of our menu. Heather has our pastries covered, but we need a leader in the kitchen to create and oversee the hot and cold food.
FRONT OF HOUSE
Tea bar/Servers/bussers
The front of house at the cottage is a lot of fun and pretty fast-paced but run seamlessly by our Manager Sarah. Not that you need it in happy Naramata, but Sarah will always have your back and will literally be cheering you on.
High Tea hours are 11-4:30; however, the potential for breakfasts and evenings are there depending on our applicants. So talk to us about what works best for you!
Vancouver training: We would love to have you spend time in our Vancouver location working with Chef Gordon and Pastry Chef Candice if the position and your life allows.
Above-average hourly wages + tips based on experience.
Please send over your resume and a bit about yourself to join our team! show contact info
