I recently acquired this old RARE gem as part of a job cleaning up an old farm and found this truck in an old drive shed.
I know very little about it since the owners of the property knew nothing.
I did find the CAMPER SPECIAL metal logos, and the vin plate does mention the camper weight. It seems like the truck was right in the middle of a motor upgrade or something.
The wiring harness isn't hooked up.
Dual exhaust is hooked up; 'rad is hooked up, as are most of the vacuum and tranny lines, etc. It looks like the wiring harness needs to be hooked up to the engine, but it's all there. I will eventually get to it, as I am a mechanic, so an old chev small block wiring won't take but an hour tops.
'Plow harness looks complete and has extra hydraulic levers and lines for accessories.
Truck is an automatic; has vacuum hubs not lockers - possibly upgraded, not stock. Has extra leaf springs in rear end. Heavy duty brakes both axles.
Body seems to all be metal . Shame the long scratch down the drivers side. Frame looks to be in great shape as does the floor of the cab.
Seems like this truck was being prepped to be put back on the road. It all seems very sound and well maintained.
Now I see these trucks being priced all over the scale, but rarely see an actual camper special. It comes with both sets of rims you see on it . The 20's and the stock 15's
So for now I'm going to see if there's any serious offers. I'm not going to accept 2500 bucks or something ridiculous like that but I'm also not looking for 10 grand.

Please don't message me asking how it runs or the condition of the tranny it will just tell me that you didn't read or understand the add and your wasting both our time. I will get around to hooking up the engine harness but that will obviously help set the price firm. As I said the truck looks like it was destin for the road in real short order before I bought it and it's relatives from the farm. So right now I'm selling it as is. Not hurting to sell it ' but it does need someone to finish what was started. It's in very nice condition. Someone's project over years that never was finished. That's about all I know guys. I have an sales receipt and a affidavit of transfer from the estate so I have the things I need to get the ownership ' just haven't yet. But I can get it done if properly motived lol thanks ttys
