This Sea Glass was found mostly on the Coast of Maine, in particular the Booth Bay area that was known to smugglers during prohibition (1851) as an easy bay to transport liquor from ship to shore.
If they were on the verge of being caught, they dumped their full bottles overboard, which now washes up on the beaches almost two centuries later.
This sea glass is being sold in 2 pound bags of assorted shapes and colours, the bowl is just a sample of the assortment you may find.
Cost is $10 per bag or 2 bags for $18 or three bags for $25.
These ocean smooth glass pieces can be used in crafts, or to fill a vase to keep flowers in place while adding interest to the display. Can be used in stepping stones, mosaics or simply fill a mason jars to make door stops. Make jewelry, wind chimes or sea glass / pebble art. Possibilities are endless.
