Welcome to your chess journey! I'm Joy—a dentist, chess author, international player, FIDE-certified instructor, and founder of The King's Gambit Chess Academy in Montreal. With 39 years of playing experience and 28 years of teaching, I'm passionate about guiding students of all ages and skill levels toward their chess goals.

o Shared 3rd place in the World Amateur Chess Championship, Romania 2013.
o Sole 2nd place in the Blitz section of the same championship.

o Shared 2nd place in the UAE Grand Prix 2011, ahead of several Grandmasters.
o 4th place in the Ramadan Blitz Tournament 2010, ahead of several Grandmasters and International Masters.

o Reigning Correspondence Chess Champion of my country of origin.
o U20 Champion (1994) and U14 Champion (1989) of my country of origin.
• Certified Trainer: International chess trainer certified by FIDE since 2016 with a track record of developing champions.

• Duration: 60 minutes per lesson
• Pricing:
o Single Lesson: $50
o 10-Lesson Package: $480 ($48/hour)
o 20-Lesson Package: $900 ($45/hour)
• All prices are subject to applicable sales taxes based on your province.
