Outside Sales Representative - Aftermarket Automotive

Job Description:JOB POSITION - EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: As a Territory Driver, Merchandiser, and Account Manager, you will deliver lubricants and petrol chemicals to Auto Dealerships and Repair shops on a scheduled route throughout Kingston and outlining areas. Other duties include setting up and maintaining related equipment. Your primary responsibilities are to grow sales through exceptional customer service, product education, and relationship-building with technicians and business owners. In addition, you will be responsible for approaching and generating new business from Auto Dealerships and Repair shops that are not currently customers. You will report to the Regional Sales Manager. The base salary is $70,000 - $75,000 plus commission. OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY: • Corporate Head Office is in Richmond Hill • The sales territory is Kingston, North to Perth, East to Brockville • This is a work-from-home office position. • Full-time - Monday to Friday. EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: • 3+ years of sales or customer service/support experience • Mechanically inclined • Experience in the automotive industry is an asset. • Have a valid driver's license and vehicle. TECHNICAL SKILLS: • MS Word • Computer Tech Savvy THE PRODUCT / SERVICE / SOLUTION • You will be selling Aftermarket Petrol Chemicals and Equipment for Preventative maintenance PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS / INDUSTRY FOCUS / DECISION-MAKER(S): • You will primarily sell to the automotive industry, independent repair facilities, and new car dealers. SALES CYCLE / PRODUCT VALUE / ACCOUNT SIZE: • Average order size is $1000-1500 • Average length of the sales cycle for new accounts is one week to 3 months COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES: • Quality of products • Service and after-sales support TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES: • 70% - 80% visiting customers, taking inventory, stocking shelves, training, installing and maintaining equipment, strengthening relationships and growing existing business. • 20% - 30% calling on new customers to acquire new business. LEADS • All potential Independent Auto Repair and Dealerships identified to call on. • A lot of potential for growth as our client has less than 15% market share.
