Title - ACM Production Supervisor | Aluminum Composite Material
Location – Cambridge, ON
Shift - Day morning shift (7 am - 4 pm)
Salary - ($28-$33) + Overtime
Reporting to – Area Manager
The ideal candidate must be proficient in understanding and reading AutoCAD drawings. The candidate must be an Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or Technologist.

Responsibilities
Scope of the Position
Reporting to the Area Manager – Assembly, Graphics, ACM you will oversee day-to-day production and scheduling activities within the ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) department. The ACM department is responsible for the fabrication and assembly of ACM panels, used in the construction of signage solutions
Key Objectives and Accountabilities
• Supports the framework for growth and change by providing leadership through coaching, mentoring and training opportunities (T.O).
• Schedule jobs to build products efficiently and on time, ready to go site at least two days before promised.
• Verify material availability to ensure efficient workflow and schedule attainment.
• Ensure Quality Standards and Objectives are attained.
• Ensure the smooth and efficient transition of workflow across departments
Essential Functions
• Carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with company philosophies and applicable laws that include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; generating positive feedback and constructive criticism; addressing all employee concerns and providing resolution; support team by providing technical expertise; plan and assign all work in a fair, equitable and ethical manner.
• Plan, schedule and monitor production activities to ensure on-time delivery
• Develop, review and measure production activities, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead kaizen initiatives and training opportunities.
• Set up and assign ACM workforce with the daily objectives and work orders.
• Oversee the creation of programming for router operation.
• Ensure instructions are clearly communicated and understood and the team is meeting expectations.
• Communication of Change Notices, ensuring team members have current information.
• Troubleshoot technical difficulties, and facilitate problem-solving and collaboration through direction from the supervisor.
• Active participation with Quality, ensuring the team is performing quality checks to ensure the product matches the drawings and work orders prior to moving to another department.
• Work collaboratively with internal resources to continuously develop and improve processes that ensure costs are contained and within work order expectations.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Other duties as required
Qualifications
Skills, Knowledge, Education & Experience
• Industrial engineering, technologies or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
• Minimum 2 years in a leadership role
• Experience in custom manufacturing preferred
• Innovative problem-solving and analytical skills
• Basic computer skills in Outlook, Work and Excel
Supervisory & Management Responsibility
Plan and oversee the work of the ACM manufacturing operations
• Router Operation

• ACM Panel Crating
• Warehouse staff
