Flute Lessons - online and designed for your goals! - London
Description
Online flute lessons tailored for your goals - let’s get creative!
All skill levels are welcome! If you’re brand new to the flute and want to learn to play, need direction on your current skill and want a fresh perspective, or haven’t played in ages and want to pick it back up again - we can work together.
I offer weekly lessons in time chunks of 30 minutes, 45 minutes, and 60 minutes.
I also offer biweekly, lessons à la carte, asynchronous lessons (you record yourself and I send you feedback - can be à la carte or not), as well as bundles of 3 lessons, 5 lessons, or 7 lessons for you to schedule when you wish over a 3 month term.
I’ve designed my studio for those who are curious about all things flute. My studio is a judgment- and shame-free studio - it's a space for encouragement, to explore, experiment, and have fun to achieve your goals.
I encourage students to discover their inner voice and inner creativity, building confident performers. I use contemporary music techniques woven in with traditional methods for technique and tone development, as well as creating our own exercises for an exciting learning environment with the space and freedom to experiment and make noise. Music lessons should be fun, fearless, a place to experiment and find that connection between you and music. Together we can overcome challenges and create what works for you.
What's included:
☑️ A weekly 1:1 flute lesson with me (or bi-weekly, etc depending on commitment arrangement)
☑️ Access to me via email for any questions or difficulties that may come up between lessons

A little bit about me:
I grew up with music in a family of music and art lovers. Playing flutes for over 20 years, I obtained my Bachelor of Arts with a specialization in Music from Laurentian University in Sudbury in 2011, my Artist Diploma from Western University in 2016, and my Master of Music in Literature and Performance from Western University in 2018. I currently freelance in Southern Ontario and virtually internationally, and play in the London Community Orchestra. Previously I've performed with the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra. I also compose music for flute, often incorporating electronics, and visual art. I maintain an online flute studio, and have previously taught for New Horizon's Band at Western, given flute clinics for Northern Ontario Music Festival All Star Band at Laurentian, and present workshops on flutes, as well as improvisation and creativity. I have worked with learners from fresh beginners just starting out to advanced players in my online studio. I have seen learners who have never touched the instrument before grow to love making music on their instrument and flourish as skilled players playing their favourite music, as well as intermediate and advanced learners meet their goals and succeed in their craft.
