Description
We are a small group working towards meaningful change for those who live on wheels.
Being disabled with certain abilities and disadvantages, all fall into the same column of "Disabled". This column has become congested with physical disabilities, invisible disabilities, and seniors.
Persons with invisible disabilities, in particular, are still able to navigate stairs, other terrains and environments.
Persons living on wheels are particularly disadvantaged by the limitations of our modern environment
Our goal, is the reappropriation of the long fought for wheelchair environment adaptions back to those who require this adapted environment.
Should you come across or experience any ability appropriation situation, please contact us at wheelchairlifeadvocacy@gmail.com to share your story with anonymity. You can also follow the inequity situations posted by searching Kijiji using Wheelchair Life Advocacy or WLA.
As these inequities are remedied the corresponding posting will be deleted. Should any advances tread backwards, an updated posting will be highlighted.
We don't use typical social media platforms to refrain from those who want to use abusive language and tropes.
We hope this creative way of expressing awareness will provide everlasting change.
