Our annual Three Day Goat School is coming up in May!

Where: 4265 Waverley Street, Winnipeg, ManitobaAre you thinking about getting dairy goats for your family’s milk supply? In this workshop, you will learn everything you need to care for your own dairy goats and make fabulous goat milk-based foods.
We will go over planning for shelter and fencing with your existing spaces in mind. We’ll spend time in the kitchen making cheeses, yogurt, cream, butter, and ice cream. We will practice hand-milking our Aurora Farm goats and practice trimming hooves, administering needles, giving a drench, taking a temperature, and wrapping a wound. This workshop is held during our birthing season so we will cover that, too! By the end of session you will be ready for goats! I am accepting students of all ages (5 to 95), and all levels (beginner to advanced).*All lessons are online. I have been teaching online lessons for a few years now, and have found that my students have had great results with this format. I enjoy being able to share my love of music with students from so many different areas. I meet with my students online, once a week, for a 1/2 hr lesson. However, longer lesson lengths are available upon request. We will start where you're at, whether you are a beginner, or have had previous playing experience.
PRE-RECORDED lessons are available for those who can't commit to a regular lesson time, or prefer to learn on their own, and at their own pace. You benefit from having UNLIMITED ACCESS to the instruction, rather than just getting the instruction one time at a weekly lesson. Lessons are emailed to you in a video format, and each lesson covers the same amount of material as would be covered in a 1/2 hr individual lesson. *Extremely cost effective.

Our annual Three Day Goat School is coming up in May!
When: May 3, 4, and 5, 2024
Where: 4265 Waverley Street, Winnipeg, ManitobaAre you thinking about getting dairy goats for your family’s milk supply? In this workshop, you will learn everything you need to care for your own dairy goats and make fabulous goat milk-based foods.
We will go over planning for shelter and fencing with your existing spaces in mind. We’ll spend time in the kitchen making cheeses, yogurt, cream, butter, and ice cream. We will practice hand-milking our Aurora Farm goats and practice trimming hooves, administering needles, giving a drench, taking a temperature, and wrapping a wound. This workshop is held during our birthing season so we will cover that, too! By the end of session you will be ready for goats! Some Aurora Farm goats may be available for purchase to families who have taken this course.

Welcome to Winkler Firearm Safety!
The PAL (firearm license) course provides essential knowledge and skills related to firearm safety and handling, which are not only important for personal safety but also for fostering a deeper understanding of responsible firearm use. This course is open to everyone ages 12 and above, and it is highly recommended that kids take advantage of this opportunity as soon as they become eligible.
Participation in the PAL course values and reinforces the importance of safety, sportsmanship, and shooting development.
After successful completion of students receive their PAL (formerly, FAC). This certification is for those wanting to hunt with firearms and own or purchase firearms. It covers essential topics such as firearm safety, handling, and legal responsibilities. Completing the PAL course demonstrates a commitment to safe and lawful firearm ownership, ensuring individuals are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills.
