Fish "Red Devil" cichlid (Amphilophus labiatus)
Description
This Red Devil is nice, you can pet it. But my Tiger Oscar kept chasing it, so I put it in another 55 I have with two female red Devils. But I sold one female last week.
$40 each, if you want both I'll just give them too you for $60.
If you want the 55 gallon tank they are in with stand, canister filter, sand, a couple flagstones and other rocks, and a sucker fish. All for $360. No fish only $300. Sucker fish is basically free with this $360 deal.
These amazing Red Devil fish are large cichlid fish endemic to Lake Managua and Lake Nicaragua in Central America.
They can get about 15 inches long after 3 years. Males tend to grow bigger then the females. They spawn at 6 inches.
Best kept in large tanks minimum 55 for one, 110 for 2 or more, not the best to keep two males unless lots of room. Can handle temperatures 70 to 79° F and can handle PH levels from 6 to 8, so best kept at 7.
They live 10 - 12 years or some live longer if kept well in the tank.
Can be fed with flakes, cichlid pellets, frozen foods, worms, crickets, and live feeder fish(I feed them guppies since they populate so fast). Also I feed these guys lots of different fine chopped vegetables.(carrots, cucumber, celery, red, yellow, orange peppers, Buk Choy, and Lettus.)
