Pygmy Squirrels (African Dormice)
Description
I have a pair of African Dormice!! Wicked little guys!
They eat a variety of oxbow gerbil food, meal worms, fruits and veggies!
Clean their cage once a week and you can’t smell them they are great pets!
They do need to stay warm as cold can be harmful to them so they do require a heat pad which they come with! I do reccomend keeping your house at a reasonable temperature but the heat pad is there JUST INCASE heating accidently gets turned off or window gets left open at night. That way they have a safe spot.
Enclosure included with the remainder of food and bedding! Everything you need! Please do your research and these are an exotic animal and do require more care than the average rodent. I will provide a descriptive care sheet however you should be doing your own research.
Need to make more space in my nailroom for a pedicure station as I am expanding my skill set as a nailtech!
Asking $250 for both of them and their enclosure a 20 gallon with little bridges, hides, wheels, hanging toys. I also have a larger wood and plexiglass enclosure in storage I pull out every summer that is very elaborate it’s basically a giant jungle gym for these guys so they can go crazy run and jump around and get their energy out. I use the 20 gallon in the colder months as I can stick a heat pad on the bottom in the case of a tempurture change in the house at night etc or if a heater goes out. $200 is typically the price of one alone no accessories.
