This is a Casual employment opportunity located at NBCC's Moncton campus.
Responsibilities
What you will be working on:
You will be collaborating with and reporting to the Business Development Manager, School of Professional & Part-time Learning, and a member of the faculty team. You will be responsible for the planning and preparation of instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.
Specific instructional areas and courses may include, but may not be limited to:
- Trade-related Math
- Trade-related Communications
- Blueprint Reading
- Residential Fixtures
- Drainage and Venting
- Pipe and Fitting Assembly
- Water Distribution
- Hydronic Heating
You will be required to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, have the ability to plan and organize effectively in a team environment, and have an eager ability to integrate technology and active learning techniques into teaching practices. You are accountable and take pride in organizational success.
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
- Certificate of Qualification as a Journeyperson (Red Seal) in Plumbing
- A working knowledge of MS Office
- Preference may be given to candidates who have a minimum of three (3) years of related, recent work experience at the Journeyperson's level.
- Preference may be given to candidates who have experience teaching in a post-secondary environment.

This position is a unionized position where the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NBUPPE - Education (Instructional) collective agreement for the College.
