Estate Gardener

We are seeking an experienced hands-on Head Gardener to be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and development of a family-owned private estate. As part of our team, you will join in a positive, friendly and collaborative work environment. This is a great position for someone looking to bring their gardening expertise to a one of a kind property and appreciates the potential for a long-term opportunity. Compensation will be TBD depending on candidates qualifications. This position will be a 6 month contract (May-Oct)
Key Responsibilities:
-Spring and Fall garden preparations
-Day to day garden and property maintenance
-Assisting Property Manager with a variety of tasks
-Tree and forest management
-Blowing leaves, power washing, general grounds keeping.
Requirements and Qualifications:
-Previous landscaping and gardening experience a must.
-Drivers license and own transportation a must
-experience using small machines an asset (tractor, riding lawn mower, ATVs, etc)
-Chainsaw/pole-saw experience and asset
