I'm moving into a new home in Uphill on Feb 1, 2023, and am looking for a roommate to join me. I'm looking to cultivate a super creative vibe there; I'll be building out a music studio in a standalone building behind the house (so sound won't be an issue), and am looking for somebody who's pretty serious about an artistic craft to co-create a home with me.
The space is a 3 bedroom home that's too small for 3 people to live in comfortably, so I'm looking for one solo human (no couples, no children) who would want to rent 2 bedrooms: one as a bedroom, the other as a studio/office for their practice. Somebody who works in the visual dimension makes the most sense for this, since sound bleed would be an issue otherwise. Rent for both spaces would be $1150 (utilities included, except internet).
This home is near mountain station, <10 mins walk to Baker, has lots of sunlight in the living room and kitchen (with beautiful views of the lake/river), has a yard with beds for gardening, and has a big garage that can also be turned into a creative zone of sorts. It's cat friendly if you have a little one (not dog friendly), and there's a space in front of the garage for parking a vehicle off the street.
I'm in my early 30s, and am looking to live with somebody who has figured out how to be a good roommate, cares about keeping a tidy home, and is a great communicator. If this at all sounds up your alley, please send me a message with a bit about yourself.
