Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining the condition, safety, and functionality of residential properties, ensuring a high standard of living for tenants and protecting the company’s assets.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform general maintenance and repairs across multiple residential properties (e.g., plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry)
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
• Troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues efficiently
• Prepare units for new tenants (turnovers), including repairs, and inspections
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance logs
• Coordinate with external contractors when required
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance
Qualifications & Skills
• Previous experience in property maintenance, construction, or a related field
• Strong working knowledge of general repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Good communication and customer service skills when interacting with tenants
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks
Preferred Qualifications
• Trade certification (e.g., electrician, plumber, HVAC) is an asset
• Experience in multi-unit residential or property management settings
• Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, fire safety, etc.)
Working Conditions
• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
• May require evening, weekend, or emergency on-call availability
• Frequent travel between properties
