Kyla Strange, owner/operator of Khas T'an Horsemanship is happy to be taking horses into her Colt Starting and Horse Development Program currently based in the Fredericton, NB area.
The Colt Starting and Horse Development Program involves techniques and horse-first philosophies that adequately prepare the horses for many situations in the real working and/or recreational world.
Kyla customizes programs to client/horse needs and incorporates a variety of different learning environments for horses including wilderness trail outings and purposeful indoor/outdoor arena work facilitating the horses’ emotional, mental and physical development.
Kyla has chronicled 1000’s of hours of direct horsemanship study and riding instruction and invested exorbitant time riding and studying with world renowned, well-known and talented horsemen and women. She rode colts, provided contract cowboy services and assisted on various large-scale beef cattle ranches.
Of significant influence, Kyla rode 100's of colts and studied under the direct tutelage of mentor, Martin Black, spending long stretches of time riding colts and developing horses learning from Martin on various equestrian facilities and ranches in Western Canada, California, Texas, Florida and Maine states (2009-2016).
Not only has Kyla backed and developed scores of colts and horses, Kyla has local, regional, provincial and national earnings in various competitive horse disciplines based in the West. She has provided educational services and support to horses and horse owners in New Brunswick, British Columbia, Alberta, various states in the USA and Switzerland.
