Job Description:POSITION OVERVIEW: The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for the planning and execution of digital advertising and social media engagement campaigns for a diverse range of clients and projects. Working as part of our strategic marketing team the successful candidate will work in tandem with the creative team, account team, digital team, and partners to both develop and execute campaigns and assignments. Developing strategies, planning campaign media placements, recommending tactics, monitoring, optimizing, and reporting on campaign progress and outcomes will be will be regular tasks. The position requires a keen sense for digital marketing, engagement, advertising, and content with strong attention to detail and a solidly focused work ethic. The successful candidate will possess a good understanding of paid digital strategy, social media marketing and engagement, digital campaign optimization, and a solid understanding of current web and mobile technology. The ability to concept, plan, chart, and present concepts and strategies to internal and external audiences is essential. DUTIES: The Digital Marketing Specialist will:Research, develop, and execute digital advertising and social media engagement campaigns;Develop campaign plans making use of research, analytics, market insight, and client objectives;Execute, monitor, and adjust campaigns optimizing based on real time results, conversions, responses, etc;Report on campaign progress and results making use of all tools available;Make adjustments to plans and strategies as required throughout campaign cycles;Attend meetings and present material and reporting when required;Work with agency teams to deliver a seamless digital marketing experience for clients;Manage a number of tasks at one time and prioritize them on a schedule;Track time and project data in the agency project management system;Be able to adjust to rapidly changing requirements and schedules while taking campaigns from planning to live execution; QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:A degree or applied diploma with a focus on marketing, communications, or advertising;Two to three years of experience working in digital media planning/buying and digital marketing strategy, however, candidates with less experience will be considered;Thorough knowledge of paid digital advertising platforms including Google (all platforms), Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin, et al;Strong knowledge of Google Analytics and major SEO and SEM tools;Comprehensive understanding of content marketing;Thorough understanding of marketing funnels, conversion, tracking, and generation;Experience with Mac OS X, iOS, and Android environments;Experience with web based collaboration and management tools;Proven organizational skills and attention to detail;Self-starter, positive attitude with co-workers and clients;Ability to set priorities and work independently;Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills;Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently; OTHER CONSIDERATIONS: Must be able to work in Canada; This position is based in Ontario.
