Gorgeous Aussie Shepard Puppies/ Temperament Test/Early Training
Description
Creekside Diverse Aussies in North Vancouver is happy to announce a healthy and stunning litter of 8 puppies. Bred primarily for health and temperament, but many of these puppies colouring you don't often see in aussies (solid shaded sable, shaded sable harlequin merle, solid black, ghost tan points) Puppies were born on Dec. 23rd and will be ready to go to their new forever homes on March 3rd.
The dame, Ruby, is a unique Shaded Sable Harlequin Merle with Ghost Tan Points, Irish Spotting and bright amber eyes. Well bred and health tested, she is 45 pounds and 21 inches in height. She is a working service dog who we will spay and then certify this summer. She is excellent with children ( visits special needs education school often), great with strangers and other animals ( no prey drive), highly intelligent, easy to train, calm, loyal, athletic, playful, medium toy and food drive with great off switch and barks only to alert.
The sire, Pippin, is a ASDR registered and health tested Miniature American Shepard ( Mini Aussie) from Heartlake Australian Shepards and bred by Chasin' Tails Australian Shepards. He a beautiful rich chocolate brown (recessive red) with light brown eyes. Pippin is loyal, athletic, medium drive, great off switch and great with children and other animals. He is 35 lbs and 18 inches in height.
The puppies will be medium sized dogs between 35 to 45 lbs and 18 to 21 inches in height. They are expected to have dispositions similar to their parents and rearing practices are designed to bring out the best in these puppies.
These puppies will be velcro dogs ( by your side), will make great hiking/running partners, and perfect to cuddle up and relax with at home. They will be easy to train, eager to please and love to play, and will interact well with kids and other animals. Please watch attached youtube video of puppies sitting for attention at only 5 weeks old.
During the 10 weeks these puppies are with us, they undergo the same degree of handling and training as the puppy we are preparing for service dog certification as we will be keeping a puppy for this purpose, Thus, we invest an extensive amount of time into to these puppies’ development, early training and socialization. All puppies will undergo temperament testing to better understand the type of home they will do best in.
While only a few puppies will be good candidates for emotional therapy or service dog training, all puppies will make excellent family dogs and companions. While these puppies are from dog non-working lines and do not require extensive exercise and mental stimulation, they still benefit from being in active homes where they will be welcomed as a part of the family pack.
Upon bringing your puppy home, he or she will be well practiced, if not having already mastered:
- Pee pad training and outside potty training
- Leash training
- Sitting quietly to receive attention and waiting to be fed
- Basic commands- come, sit, lay down, stay
-Kennel Training
- Crate training
In addition to early obedience training and extensive social exposure, puppies will be:

day supply of puppy's regular kibble (Purina Pro Plan for Puppies)

( in order of photos)
1. PINECONE- Red Bi Female with Light Eyes ( smallest of litter/ adult weight approx. 30 to 35 lbs) $2800
I love this little fluff bunny. We almost kept Pinecone but ended up keeping a different puppy. I am so sad to let her go but know she will capture the heart of all those she meets. She is the tiniest of the litter but has the big personality. She is a confident and sassy girl. She is also quite athletic and gets right in the middle of the most boisterous rough housing with her bigger brothers. However, she will always stop for cuddles. My family all has their favourites and she is definitely mine.
2. SUMMIT- Red Harlequin Merle with Irish Spotting + Light Blue Eyes $2800
This little boy has beautiful merle colouring with darker red, a medium red tone, a then a much lighter tone throughout. He also has an adorable spot on the top of his head that looks like an ace. He is not only handsome, he has a big personality. He does everything with gusto from eating to playing to sleeping and likes to tell you about it. He is super goofy, playful, affectionate, sweet and cuddly. He is an even tempered , laid back fellow whose quirkiness keeps me laughing all day. He is also a smarty pants and catches on quickly to new things. He is a joy to be around.
3. SKY- Rare Shaded Sable Female with Ghost Tan Points, Irish Spotting and One Blue Eye $2800 (RESERVED)
4. PEBBLE- Blue Merle Female with Ghost Tan Points and Minimal White $2800 (RESERVED)
5. CEDAR- Shaded Sable Tweed Merle with One Blue Eye ( smaller male) $2500 (RESERVED)
6. RIVER- Light Blue Male with Irish Spotting, Ghost Tan Points + Light Eyes $2800
Little River is my son's favourite and he will be difficult to say goodbye to. He is a gorgeous boy whose colouring reminds me of a water colour. He is the most playful and adventurous of the litter. He is the first one off exploring something new. He is a happy go lucky puppy that is so sweet and ready to play or cuddle.
7, SLATE- Black Male with Minimal White with Brown Eyes $2400
Slate is a striking solid black puppy with a band of white on his chest and a tiny bit of white on the tip of his paws that make it look like he stepped in milk. He also has the most soulful eyes that you can look into forever. He was the first born and the first to do everything else. He is also the largest puppy so will be closer to 50 to 55 lbs. Slate is an extremely alert and confident puppy who is also super relaxed and calm. He loves people and likes to cuddle and give endless kisses. He often prefers one on one time while his litter mates are busy eating. He has the potential to be an emotional support or service dog. Temperament testing at 7 weeks will further assess this. If we weren't set on keeping a female, this would be our pick of the litter. He is also very athletic and I can see him making a great agility or trail dog for mountain bikers and other adventurers. Slate has a lot of potential.
8, NORTH- Solid Shaded Sable Male with Brown Eyes $2400
North is absolutely gorgeous and you will not see this colouring in Australian Shepards often. He is a super sweet and extremely laid back, calm puppy who doesn't seem to get ruffled by anything. He will be a solid dog. He likes to relax and you can often find him sleeping. He is also a bit of a loner. He doesn't mind hanging out by himself sniffing a leaf or chewing a stick while everyone else is running around. North is so full of love as well and gives the most amazing cuddles hands down. This puppy has an amazing disposition and I'm hoping he will go to a home where with children or where he can offer emotional support or be trained toward service dog certification.
