Job Description:Position Summary: The team lead supports the house supervisor by ensuring services are delivered continuously and efficiently throughout the day. They help to ensure that client’s needs are met, while also supporting staff in treatment implementation. The ideal candidate should have a sound knowledge and understanding of the Safe Management Group program and will demonstrate leadership skills. They should also demonstrate excellent communication skills to help support employees and the day-to-day management of the clients and home. The team lead position would be off the floor for approximately 8-16 hours per week. The remaining 24-32 hours would be on the floor. Duties and Responsibilities: • Consistently follow and apply the principals of the Safe Management Group Inc. as well as its policies, procedures and all legislations related to residential services. • Direct, maintain and control the programs and the administrative operations for the home. • Work collaboratively with the Clinical Team and provide solutions to barriers impacting achieving success in the program, for the staff and clients. • Submit required receipts, financial reports, and requested documentation as required. • Review schedules monthly to ensure adequate coverage as required for the home. • Ensure When-I-Work is up to date. • Ensure accuracy and timely completion of documentation and reports. • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and act according to Safe Management Group’s standards, while also demonstrating respect for all individuals. • Ensure confidentiality is maintained for all clients and employees. • Transport clients (to personal/medical appointments, for leisure) as required in accordance with Ministry of Transportation and Safe Management Group’s policies. • Following and implementing SMG policies and procedures and crisis intervention techniques. • Implement behavioural support plans, under the supervision of the clinical team • Model appropriate behavior for behavioural support specialists. • Ensure the safety, and cleanliness of the house and property. Requirements: • Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology or Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) or related. • Knowledge of Safe Management training including Crisis Intervention Techniques. • Minimum 2 years of experience implementing behaviour programming with individuals with complex behaviours. • An up-to-date and valid Standard First-Aid and CPR-C. • Excellent team player who encourages and promotes wellness in others through example and leadership skills. • Excellent organizational skills. • Full G Class Driver’s License, and access to a personal vehicle to provide service as required. • Able to work independently as well as part of a team environment. • Excellent verbal communication skills. • Experience completing Behaviour Assessments and implementing Behaviour Support Plans. • Demonstrated strong Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) skills. • Demonstrated ability in implementing the required physical and mechanical interventions. • Demonstrated ability in completing Treatment, Residential, and Procedural documentation. with accuracy and clarity. • Minimum two years of experience working in a group home setting. • Demonstrated critical thinking skills. • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills. • Demonstrated flexibility to facilitate changes in techniques and procedures. • Maintains professional manner at all times. • Ability to prioritize in a changing environment. • Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population. • Ability to respect and promote confidentiality. • Working knowledge of computers and software such as; AIMS, Microsoft Word and Excel. • Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to motivate others.
