Pioneer Dual Cassette Tape Deck Home Stereo Player -Needs Belts
Description
Other than the fact that this Pioneer Dual Cassette Tape Deck Home Stereo Player Needs 2 small Rubber Belts that operate the capstans and tape turning spindles, the Tape Deck is in great shape. It will work perfectly once these belts are replaced. The ones that were in it were almost soft and disintegrated.
I am selling this for my brother in law who had this boxed up and after their move asked me to sell it.
I told him the belts were gone. I could see easily when I quickly and easily removed 10 screws to look inside. I figured ok I can change thes ebelts easily. I did my Sony Dual Cassette Deck 5 years ago. Was easy.
I ordered at that time, a variety assortment back of tiny belts of different diameters for use in electronics like this (walkmans, portable cassette players, dvd players etc).... but I either used the ones that are required for this tape deck or did not have any the right size. They were a bit too big or too small.
Anyway its an easy enough fix with the belts but being self employed, I am too swamped.
The belts can be ordered off Eeebay or Amaaaazoon websites.
This deck will work and sound great once the belts are replaced. The Capstans, and tape deck heads (player and recorders heads) are clean and not full of any residue.
The unit is clean and a dual tape deck. That means you can play one tape and it switch to the other when the first one ends. Or you can record one tape with the click of a button onto another to make copies.
It has all the sound options like Dolby, B & C + NR as well as Synch Copy features like normal speed, High Speed and CD Synchro. It has timers, Skip delay options, Digital recording level meters to make sure your sound stage left and right speaker outputs are balanced. And has a recording level Impedance dial.
Great to get into your old school tape cassettes again.
I have LOWERED MY ASKING PRICE to take into account the cost of the bag of belts and of course mostly the labor of you replacing them. Anyone with some handyman experience in playing with these units will easily be able to replace the belts.
These are usually around $110.00 to $160.00 to buy online. This one's much less. Lots of room for your labour and time. The whole thing is in excellent cared for condition. Just the belts.
It is a Model CT-W351R Cassette Deck. And a great reliable Brand Pioneer. NOTE: Any brands belts will dry out or soften and disintegrate over time if left long enough. These belts only have around a 10 year shelf life before they wear out, stretch or rot. Its common to have to replace them. In any Cassette player whether home stereo model based or portable.
You can grab this any day of the week or weekend during the day or night in Waterloo just 6 minutes off the Hwy.#85 North Expressway and the University Ave East exit.
Or, I can get this down to Oakville, Burlington area only 4 minutes off the QEW & Bronte Rd. South exit.
And lastly I can also get this to Walkerton, ON. for pick up.
I appreciate replies back if you respond to this ad after I get back to you. Its just a common courtesy. Thanks :)
