2004 Four Winns 298 Vista
I have written a detailed description. Any other questions, please ask.
Compare it to the Vista 278 and Vista 288, this is a completely different boat. We looked at them.
The wider beam ion the 298 is really apparent throughout the cockpit and cabin and it feels like a much bigger boat.
There are also walk-around side decks on the Vista 298. Really great for cleaning the boat, and when docking and rafting.31.5’ Length Overall

We do not have a trailer.
This boat has always been kept in a seasonal slip.
BUT the boat can be trailered around. Weight with boat and a tri-axle trailer combined is about 14,000lbs. Which is definitely 3/4 ton (or 1 ton) truck territory, and of course the road-use permits, due to the 10.5’ beam.The original Mercruiser driveline has never been touched.

The impellors currently have about 100 hrs on them.We looked for a about a year to find one with low hours and the Merc / Bravo power and we wanted to avoid the Volvo setup. Bad experiences with Volvo.
We also wanted to find a 298 without the coloured stripes on the hull. Unfortunately the stripes oxidize and fade badly in the sun. They make a great boat look like an old clunker.
We finally found this 298 and it checked all the boxes. We will be sad to see her go. It has been the perfect boat for our family, in every way. Now as empty nesters, we are changing gears and getting a centre console that we can trailer around.
You will look at a lot of boats before you see one like this.

Very clean for its age and a very smooth riding boat. Runs amazing. Comes with tandem axle trailer which has all new tires all around including spare.
Engine is a ford 351 also known has a cobra 5.8L v8 with a 4 barrel Holley carb.
Boat has functioning trim tabs to level the boat

Hard bottom , it does leak. Takes about 24 hours to feel it softer.
Too many project. Please check online for specks. It is a hard canvas, with a hard floor, with fixing. Comes with the carry cases

Hey I have a nice 79 Thundercraft boat with a super clean 1980 outboard Murcury 115hp motor , the boat runs and drives perfect ,has a full fish finder built in, has a brand new starter , a 40gallon gas tank in the front of boat and it has a 20gallon in the back for a spare , all the wiring works and that perfect I was in the process of upgrading the bildge pump switch but old ones still hooked up just hanging. Will need new trim switch but still can use it .could use a new prop soon, Seats could use some work but work as is, The trailers a 1977 wisco has new tires and lights, new trailer Jack . I’m looking to get $2000 obo or trades

Outdrive is a OMC cobra which has been completely refurbished and rebuilt. Also have a spare complete Outdrive.

Oil is changed in everything every single year
