I'm writing this in a desperate attempt to find someone willing to help me out.
I gave my landlord my end of tenancy notice and then failed to find a new place before the move out date. My landlord was unwilling to work with me and ended up evicting me - leaving myself and my two kids homeless. I rented a storage unit for all of our belongings and got us a hotel room, planning to stay there until I found something permanent that would be suitable and affordable for the 3 of us. Within a week of our eviction, CAS apprehended my children- even though a hotel is a completely safe and suitable place for children to live temporarily. My children were never abused or neglected. They were happy, healthy, and always well taken care of. My son (6 years old) was taken from his school, so I didn't even get the opportunity to tell him that I loved him and everything would be ok. He was placed in the care of my ex's grandmother, who kept him from me for 60 days after this. Before that, my son and I had never been away from each other for more than two days. And as if he wasn't already dealing with enough changes, his grandma switched his schools as well. My daughter (6 months old) was placed with my sister. I got to see her about once a week at my mothers. This was all before the covid-19 outbreak. When we had the first lockdown in march, I was no longer allowed to see my daughter anymore. I didn't get to see her other than through video chats until 8 months later. Every day has been agony for me. My daughter and I no longer have a bond like we use to, and it devastated me. I have applied to countless places. I don't have very good credit, and being evicted from my previous place, which I believe are partially why I have not heard back from any of them. I have blown through all of my savings from paying for my hotel room, my storage unit, as well as my phone bill and food and other essentials for everyday living. I haven't been able to afford to pay for my storage unit for about 3 months now, and it is currently scheduled for auction. It has everything me and my kids own in it as well as many sentimental items... I am also behind on my phone bill and it will be disconnected soon if I can't make a payment on it.
What I am hoping for is to find someone who would be willing to lend me the money I need so that I don't lose everything me and my kids own... my storage provider doesn't allow partial payments, and that is a big factor in why I have gotten so far behind.
My hopes are also for someone to see this that owns any rental property (2-3 bedrooms) or know someone that does - and would be willing to rent a place to me for a reasonable amount... any help would be greatly appreciated, and I could pay back anyone that helps me out as soon as I am back on my feet.

Helping an Addict or Alcoholic and Keeping Your Sanity
To solve a problem one must first understand the problem. Unfortunately, that's hard to do with addiction and alcoholism because it makes no sense. Why do people keep on with their substance use when it's ruining their life and making them miserable?
Ironically, most people who try to help an addict become too involved in the problem, which may do more harm than good. They get drawn into the addict's circle of chaos, and end up participating in the addiction by being enablers. This creates chaos and insanity in their own life, and does nothing to stop the addiction.
Introducing “Understanding and Helping an Addict (and keeping your sanity),” a new release from Recovery Folio Publishing, now available on amazon.ca (see link below).
In this important book, medical doctor and addiction survivor Dr. Andrew Proulx - a leading expert on addiction psychology - explains the effects of addictive substances on the brain and mind, and why addicts and alcoholics behave the way they do.
Dr. Andrew then goes on to explain exactly how form a bond with an addicted loved one and to use this bond to help the addict to move to a willingness and mental readiness to accept the help they need. He then explains your role in your loved ones treatment and subsequent recovery and relapse prevention.
Dr. Andrew provides guidance for loved ones of addicts to remove themselves from the addict's circle of chaos and to take a different approach to helping the addict that's more effective, and also allows them to take back their own life and sanity.

In the early 80's, an 'older' gentleman left his church prayer meeting and his wife because he believed God directed him to GO HOME, he did and was the man who rescued me on a country road as I rolled into a ditch, saved from a kidnapping with what would have been my demise. Do you know of this story? Do you know the church where the prayer meeting took place or who that gentleman was? When he brought me safely to the police station, he went back to church where his wife was and I am certain he talked about what had happened. Maybe he passed the story on to others who might remember. I would so appreciate any connection to this story/experience. Thank you!

YES Canada is seeking host families in the Thunder Bay area to host international high school students from France for a 3 month program beginning in April 2021. Becoming a host family is a great way to experience another culture at home and to have a truly enriching experience.
International students plan their study abroad program months in advance and pursue the experience to learn about our culture and language and to build lifelong relationships with their host family and peers while attending high school. Students have been accepted to study at a local high school and continue to be committed to experience their study abroad opportunity and are aware that their program will take place amid a different environment in light of Covid-19.
We have adapted our programming to adjust to the new environment for students and host families presented by Covid-19. Guidance will be provided to students and host families throughout the process both prior to arrival and throughout the program and our team are available to answer questions and provide information. Students are also required to comply with all Government of Canada and Public Health requirements during Covid-19 including a 14-day quarantine upon arrival and testing both prior to departure and upon arrival in Canada.
We believe that purposeful travel is an important part of what connects and unites us, and the exchange program can continue to build a universal understanding and connection in these unique times. We know that the host family experience is key to providing an enriching cultural and language experience, and provides for a comforting home away from home to students embarking on this journey and builds lifelong bonds.
Why Host?
As a host family, you can contribute to this experience for the student and also have your own rewarding experience. Not only do you and your family get to learn about a different culture, you also get to share yours! We ask that host families provide 3 meals a day, a safe nurturing environment and welcome the student into your family’s daily lifestyle. Host families are compensated with a monthly stipend for doing so. If you are interested in sharing in this experience and hosting an international high school student or would like to learn more about our homestay program and how we are responding to the impacts of Covid-19, please contact YES Canada at the email address or phone number below:

We are back! Lockdown is lifted for the time being, now is the ideal time to get rid of that extra quarantine garbage before the next potential lockdown period comes
*Pickup restrictions are in place, more info available*
This 8 foot box can carry much more than majority of others offering this same service. Meaning more bang for your buck.
Total fee is $80 per trip/load, the dump fee is covered by me. Larger/heavier loads (lumber, metal, scrap) will have the fee adjusted accordingly as the dumping fee substantially increases with weight.
Call/text at (807) 630-9764 or visit facebook.com/CJsDumpRuns for more details and to make enquiries!
I also offer smaller sized in-town moves, the same fee of $80 per load applies.
Unfortunately, I'm not available for dump runs on weekends. Sorry for any inconvenience.
