NOW RECRUITING TO JOIN OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS
We are presently seeking individuals with strong governance and
leadership experience to join our Board of Directors.
Mission is to develop, strengthen and connect leaders to and within our
community.
Goals are to improve individuals’ leadership knowledge and skills; build
leadership capacity within the workplace; create networks of partnerships;
and foster a vibrant and just community.
Guiding values which we believe in are that we are all leaders regardless
of position or status; that the best learning occurs in a respectful, safe, diverse, and inclusive
environment; we ground our learning in community development; we learn together and from each
other; and we will listen intently, learn with passion, and live with humility.
Leadership Thunder Bay’s Four Pillars exercise a viable business model that is distinct, inspiring,
welcoming and sustainable.
We are seeking individuals who are strongly aligned with our mission and values, with governance
and leadership experience to join our board of Directors. And can play an important role in helping
us continue to deliver our program. Board members must have strong communication and strategic
critical thinking skills, along with a vested interest in our community.

We are a working board, and all board members are expected to actively contribute (including
attending 11 board meetings a year) in helping us carry out our program priorities effectively to
increase membership and engagement, and ensure effective stewardship of the program.
To be successful in this position, candidates must uphold, support, and implement Leadership
