Volunteer Needed: Inspect a Van To End Homelessness

Greetings!
​I am currently out of work but taking proactive steps to lift myself up. My immediate goal is to purchase a reliable, budget-friendly cargo van to live in so I can establish a stable base and jump right back into the workforce.
​I have found a couple of potential van options at dealerships/private sales in the Toronto area, but because my budget is extremely tight, I cannot afford standard mechanic diagnostic fees.
​I am looking for a volunteer, a car enthusiast, or an independent mechanic open to a low-cost side gig to accompany me to view a vehicle and give it a solid physical inspection.
​About Me & The Setup:
​I am resourceful and have my own Innova OBD computer reader to scan the vehicle for digital fault codes.
​What I lack is the mechanical experience to spot physical issues like fluid leaks, transmission glitches, suspension wear, or hidden rust.
​You would just need your own vehicle to meet up with me at the lot/location.
​Compensation:
Because I am currently unemployed, I cannot pay standard shop rates. However, I am more than happy to:
​Buy you lunch and a coffee for your time.
​Cover a small token amount for your gas/trouble.
​Return the favor down the road with DIY help, moving assistance, or whatever skills I can offer!
