An Ophthalmic Assistant contributes to the assessment, planning and delivery of eye care. Working under the direction of an ophthalmologist, the Ophthalmic Assistant provides care to the patient undergoing treatment within our clinical and diagnostic testing areas. They work independently within his/her scope of practice and collaborate with other members of our health care team.*Hourly wage is based on years of experience and certification status*
The Ophthalmic Assistant will train to be competent at the following profession related skills:
Provide direct patient care
Perform a basic work-up: auto-refraction, lensometry, patient history, visual assessment, measurement of IOP,
Perform automated perimetry: providing patient instruction, observation, and assistance during testing. We will provide training
Calibration and sterilization of ophthalmic equipment
Stock examination lanes and various areas of the clinicThe Ophthalmic Administrative Assistant will:
Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary eye care team
Duties include: Transfer of data from diagnostic testing to chart, scheduling patients, receiving faxes, reminder calls for appointments, check in, health card validation, sending faxes and reports, etcBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

The Personal Support Worker provides personal care and performs selected tasks, which are within their knowledge and skill, under the direction of their supervisor while adhering to regulatory and Revera's standards, policies and procedures. - Responsible to teach and delegate tasks and functions to different levels of workers and to family members and others in accordance with the standards and scope of practice as determined by VON and the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Comply with all standards, policies, procedures and legislative requirements

Qualifications:

Our Visiting nurses provide client care in the client’s own home. They provide physical assessments, symptom control support, palliative care, rehabilitation therapy, wound care, education, counselling to individuals and families and much more.Job Summary:
Registered Practical Nurses are responsible for provision and management of cost effective nursing care to individuals in the community. You will also delegate tasks to different levels of healthcare workers, participating as a full member of the healthcare team.

- Provide and manage high quality, appropriate and cost effective nursing care to fragile pediatric patients and their families in the community who are assigned to their care.
- Assess and manage client care in the community, including palliative, wound, intravenous therapy and H/T chronic disease prevention.
- Teach and delegate tasks and functions to different levels of workers and to family members and others in accordance with the standards and scope of practice as determined by VON and the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Comply with all standards, policies, procedures and legislative requirements.

Qualification:
- Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current CPR and First Aid certification will be requested
- Preference will be given to nurses who have palliative care experience and/or palliative care course

- Preference given to nurses with Infusion and Central Line experience
- Two to Five years Community experience preferred
- Foot Care experience preferred
- Knowledge of community resources an asset
