We are the community leader in holistic and nutritional care for pets. Our store offering is unique both in products and knowledge. We are seeking a distinct person to join us in this new part time position. Working in the store to assist clients with navigating the world of nutrition choices and holistic supplements, you will best fit in with our culture if you have a friendly, empathetic personality and can still have light hearted fun. We have zero judgment in store with clients and meet people where they are at in their journey to offering better choices for the health of their pets.
This part time position requires flexible hours. We are looking for someone who can work 20 hours+ a week and be available to cover off as needed for vacation or days when another team member is unable to make it in. Flexible scheduling is a must and we can wait to find the right fit for this requirement. We are closed on holidays. Typical shifts are 5 hours long from Tuesday to Friday, and every other Saturday (full day Saturday).
Given our holistic mindset, we are only accepting applications from people who currently feed a fresh food diet (raw or cooked) to their pets. *Please apply only if you currently have a cat or dog and are feeding a raw or cooked diet to them.*
Suitable candidates will be well versed in computer skills, including the use of social media accounts and messengers, texting, video calls, familiar with MS Word, Excel or Google equivalents (Sheets and Docs). This position will entail both customer centric skills and admin – receiving goods, checking with vendors for credits, managing in store inventory control, creating and following daily and weekly checklists, working on completion of in store SOP manual, strong interpersonal skills to deal in a friendly, engaging and honest manner with customers, fellow staff, and vendors.
*This position requires someone who is physically fit* – you must be able to lift heavy boxes repeatedly – much of this lifting is in a walk in freezer. All our staff are certified in canine nutrition. We provide access to the courses for you and pay for the training for staff certifications.
Secondary position - can be separate from the in store position: If you are a high skilled, self-motivated candidate with the ability to take on and run with many admin duties we have additional hours available. The admin side could be a second position for another person, however, if you fit into both roles, this could be a full time position. Admin side we are seeking someone who can manage and filter emails, assist with weekly inventory reconciliation, assist with data entry for bookkeeping, design in Canva (or other platforms) for social media and wholesale catalogs, manage and assist with social media, assist with website development and maintenance, navigating the challenges from Shopify and solve those challenges, act as a go between for scheduling our in store consults, and other general admin assistance.

Job Type: Part time, possibility of more hours for the right candidate.
Salary: based on knowledge and experience. We offer an excellent paid benefits program for staff that maintain 20 hours a week or more, after 3 months of employment.

We wipe down high touch surfaces with soap and water, have plexiglass barriers in place at the cash, and spray the air with hypochlorous acid.
