2008 NFQHA Gelding
Description
Beautiful red dun foundation quarter horses gelding. Good height, will stick but 15 to 15.2 hands.
Minimal chrome.
You will not find a better horse, kids horse, husband horse, show horse, beginners or experienced.
This horse has done it all. He arrived from alberta as a 3 year old, has had extensive training, and almost a decade of showing under his belt.
This horse has no spook, bolt, rear or bite. He has been a therapy horse for disabled persons, a beginners mount for people greener than spring grass. He has taught dozens of people how to ride, and brought love to people hospitalized.
He has shown games, pleasure classes, English command, excelled in breed halter classes. He has thousands of hours on the trails. He does prefer a riding buddy but he will go with you alone anywhere you want to take him. He goes through water, overgrown bush, he's even participated in Hamilton, and Cambridge santa claus parades.
He is not a jumper, he will not jump.
Very sadly he has been out of work for a while. Due to no fault of his own, but due to pregnancies and surgeries on my end. I did have someone (green as grass) get on and ride him, absolutely flawless mount. Not a single bad bone in this horse.
He has been on the family farm for 10 years, and prior to that was boarded.
He is NOT up to date on shots or teeth. I am hoping to have a farrier out before he goes, or you can have your farrier do him and get to know him, he has been barefoot his whole life. He has been wormed regularly.
He has 1 white hoof, which can get quite dry and crack, I use hoof moisturizer on it to keep it supple and if it gets bad I feed biotin on a handful of grain.
Super easy keeper. Only needs grass or hay, does not require grain.
Only selling due to issues on my end financially. This horse is a dream horse. He is that unicorn horse you've always looked for.
He would work well as a school horse if a schooling barn is looking for another mount.
The only thing I ask, is if he is to be sold in the future, I ask for notice to allow me to see if I can buy him back. I don't need any contracts, just a good person who understands the difficult decision of letting go of your horses.
Currently in Neustadt, Ontario.
Hoping to trailer him to our new house in Mitchell, Ontario. I have no land or pasture, and just a small section of an implement shed and some lawn, and these horses deserve better than that.
