Hi, my name is Bip and I'm an IB Math tutor for both MAA (Analysis) and MAI (Applications).
I'm an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) and an official IB examiner for Internal Assessments (IA) and IB exams.

I've tutored many students from IB schools (mainly Branksome, TFS, UCC and York) who were initially getting scores of 3-4 (below average) and with time, patience and my special resources taken them to a final score of 6-7 (Very good/Excellent). Not an easy feat but I've done this repeatedly. Plus, they all got to their desired schools and business programs (McGill, U of T Rotman, UBC Sauder, Queens, Western, London School of Economics to name a few).

What's my secret? There's a clear gap between what is taught in the classroom and what is assessed on a test and I've built a career out of bridging that gap. Building rapport with the student, knowing exactly what they will be assessed on and being surgically precise on what they need to get a high score. Of course, practice is important but knowing WHAT to practice is even more important. Plus, I'm always available to my students especially when they're panicking the night before a test.

Subjects: IB Math A&A (Analysis) and Math A&I (Applications) for both SL/HL
Rate: $100/hr and each session is usually 1.5hr (1h is too short and 2hr fries their brain; 1.5hr is the sweet spot). Also, no discounts/group discounts etc.
Location: Zoom or in person. Via zoom, I have a bamboo tablet to write easily on a screen. If in person, I meet at a Starbucks near Yonge and Eglinton. Tutoring can also take place at a student's residence (depending on location).
