Hypoallergenic Dog - Age doesn't matter - doodle, poodle, mix
Description
Hello,
My parents are looking to adopt a hypoallergenic dog. They have a 10 year old spoodle, and he has begun to slow down. They would like a playmate that will help keep him active.
Both my parents work for the Government of Canada, and are nearing retirement. My mother is permanently working from home, and my father is 60/40. They have a large single family detached home in Morgan's Grant, on a corner lot. Unfortunately, their yard is not fenced so they are automatically filtered out by rescues. Typically they go for at least one hike per day, and the dog will be allowed out any time they need. They have had success training our dog to remain in the yard. If that does not work for this dog, a rope leash will be used.
My parents grew up with dogs, and they have owned and trained dogs since 1992. They will NOT crate a dog. If the dog is crate trained that is okay, on the understanding that they will be retrained without it. Dogs that are not spayed/neutered will be spayed/neutered.
During the summer months, they spend the bulk of their time at their cottage in Frontenac County. They are hoping to find a dog that likes the water, as the cottage is lakefront.
Breed and age is not important so long as they are hypoallergenic and active. So poodles, doodles, cockapoo's, mixes would fit the bill. Would prefer a medium to large sized dog as they will need to keep up with an active family.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. References and current vet contact info is available upon request.
Note: The reason I am setting up the ad is because I am more 'computer savvy' than my parents. A call with them, home visit, and/or email can be arranged.
Also, no money will be sent in advance without first seeing the dog. Nor will they pay $3000 for the dog, or anything even close. If you have a dog who is in need of a good home, then there is no better.
Will travel.
