The study aims to understand why migrants voluntarily decide to move to, stay and build their lives in small and mid-sized Canadian cities, so that we can enhance our understanding of migrants’ location choices, mobility patterns, and settlement following their arrival in Canada.
We are recruiting 20 participants to complete an online 5-minute survey on SurveyMonkey and of those 20, we will invite 10 people to participate in online 1-hour Zoom interviews. The survey can be accessed here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/whymigrantstay2. Your shared stories and insights will be valuable in informing policies to better respond to the needs of newcomers and local communities in small and mid-sized cities.
Participants completing BOTH the survey AND interview will receive a $15 Tim Hortons gift card.

PARTICIPANTS NEEDED FOR RESEARCH on leisure and life experiences for the baby boom generation. We are looking for people born between 1946-1965 to take part in a study of leisure, work, and life transitions. While many baby boomers have begun to retire, others are unable to retire or are choosing not to retire for a variety of reasons. If this sounds like you, we want to learn from you.
As a participant in this study, you will be asked to participate in an online blog with others in your generation by sharing your experiences and perceptions of leisure, work, and your decision not to retire. Your participation would involve 4 sessions per year for three years, each of which is approximately two weeks. You will be asked to log on to the blog about 5 times in each session. You can create new posts and/or comment on the posts of others. If you volunteer to participate, you will be contacted by a researcher to help you set up an account and get comfortable navigating the blog.
In appreciation for your time, you will receive a $50.00 gift card annually. ONLINE Expert PRIVATE INVESTIGATION Investigator TRAINING COURSE $125.00
If you complete the mandatory 50-hour PRIVATE INVESTIGATION training course ONLINE at THE ACADEMY OF INVESTIGATIVE STUDIES,you will qualify to write the Ontario P.I. exam and obtain your private investigator licence. We are an accredited training institution and authorized to provide the course to those seeking to enter this versatile, fun, and challenging field. You may start your course of study at ANY time, and complete it at your own schedule.
Your expert instructor has 32 years of experience as a professional private investigator – working undercover, finding missing people, documenting insurance fraud, conducting surveillance, obtaining confessions through interviews, monitoring labour disputes, providing extensive background checks, and much more. He is also a professional author and writer, with a wicked sense of humour….so you’ll find the course both well-written and highly entertaining!
Please conduct your own due diligence before laying down your hard-earned money for shoddily constructed, and poorly-written, competitor’s courses. Some are run by parking lot attendants/supervisors, others by security guards, and some by investigators who have much less experience in the industry and are still learning the ropes themselves. Put your trust in an EXPERT investigator with over three decades of experience in the trenches. You’ll learn a lot more for your money, and the training you receive will be invaluable to your success in the field! Don't cut corners to save a few measly bucks and end up regretting it down the road.
During the 50-hour course, students have access to online resources including embedded training videos. Real-time interaction with your instructor is available whenever needed, in addition to our online class “forum” and occasional online meetings. All of your questions about the course materials - and the industry in general - will be answered.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a Certificate of Completion as well as an official Training Completion Number (TCN), which will allow them to book their test. Upon passing the test, candidates may then apply for their Ontario private investigator licence.
The entire course costs $125.00 plus HST. You can register and pay online. We accept Interac e-transfers as well as Paypal.
Please visit www.investigatortraining.ca for more information or to register.
SECURITY GUARD TRAINING ALSO NOW AVAILABLE.

He is also a professional author and writer, with a wicked sense of humour….so you’ll find the course to be well-written and highly entertaining!

Real-time interaction with your expert instructor is available whenever needed, as well as through our online class “forum” and occasional online meetings.
