Beautiful Colt looking for home for Christmas
Description
Please bare with the longwinded ad.. I am hoping to add as much information as possible. Please only inquire if seriously interested, and please read through the ad before PMing me. ⭐️ First 6 photos taken today.
He'd love to find a family for Christmas..
Johnny's new has fallen through, and as much as I would love to keep him my circumstances just aren't in my favour right now to keep both my foals I have left.. I have made the hard decision to keep Cruze, who is by my personal stallion.
So, I am offering Johnny in hopes that he has his special family out there waiting for him.
Johnny had quite the entrance into the world, and was my first (and I hope only) redbag foal. He required a lot of attention in his first 24 hours of life.. and thanks to that he's about the sweetest and most in your pocket guy you could ask for. I have been his only owner. Takes anything thrown at him in stride.. and is very use to silly shenanigans.. He didn't flinch at the blinking hat, bow, or the garland.. just another day in the life of Johnny..
Johnny's dam is 15.2h, and sire is 16h. I expect him to mature approximately 15.3h but he will be a thick built boy. He was born April 6th 2022, so is a coming yearling.
Johnny has potential to go any direction with his bloodlines. ⭐️
His dam Cookie "Bearly Cookiesncream" originally from the usa was used for showing. She has a register of merit in the colour classes, but has apha points in Longe Line, Halter, showmanship, hunter under saddle, trail, and western pleasure. Unfortunately, cookies showing carreer was cut short due to a SI injury in the field. She has since been retired for breeding. She has had 1 previous foal in 2021, that is pictured (black and white foal in photos).
Johnny's grandsire- A bear Spirit had apha points in pole bending, barrel racing, western pleasure, halter, and hunter under saddle.
And 3rd generation is Dee Excalibear, who competed and earned points in the same as A Bear Spirit.
Johnny's sire "Refined Divine" is an AQHA stallion that is a grandson of Mr. Conclusion. Who in his showing career won 85 firsts, 57 grand championships and 15 reserve championships. In 1992 he became the #1 sire for AQHA and AQHYA world and reserve world champions. He was inducted into the AQHA hall of fame in 2014.
--Please note--
Refined Divine is HYPP Negative therefore, Johnny is at NO risk for carrying HYPP as Cookie is negative as well.
Johnny does everything that I would expect of a foal to do. He leads/stands tied/lifts feet/stands for farrier/loads onto a trailer/very easy to catch/and shows absolutely no funny business for kick/bite/rear.
He has been exposed to all kinds of farm equipment, and has grown up around my 5 year old son. So he is VERY familiar with children. Easy to blanket, Halter, and can do anything with his legs/belly without any issue.. as I'm sure you can see by the photos.
I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to find someone that intends to show him at rated shows, however, he would be a perfect family horse for someone to raise their first foal to train as well. My priority is to find someone that is looking for a longterm/forever mount. He has all of the foundations there, and is truly a little ham to have in the barn, of course a barn favourite ❤️
☆Johnny is not yet gelded, as I do not personally geld my weanlings, and generally wait until they are late yearlings for personal preference. However, my vet Is lovely to work with and I would be happy to keep him here to have gelded and recovered before leaving if his new owner prefers the gelding will be at buyers' expense.☆
He has been turned out with my broodmares/geldings over the year and gets along well in a herd, he has been with cows/pigs as well.
I am open to serious mid 4 figure offers on Johnny.. Could be the cutest christmas gift..
Please contact for more details, and information.
I am located in Paisley Ontario, however trailering is available anywhere in Ontario for a very reasonable rate.
He is not yet registered, but will be registered with the APHA solid registry as soon as he sells. New owner can pick his registered name, if he does not sell then I will be registering him in the new year with a name of my choice. Registration will be at my expense, and owner will only need to choose the name (or I am happy to do so if new owner wouldn't like to).
