1932 Ford Roadster Coupe
Description
This 1932 Ford Roadster was built in Victoria, British Columbia in 2004
The car features a steel body from Brookville Roadster channeled over fully boxed frame rails
from American Stamping, and power is provided by a 350ci Chevy V8 mated to a rebuilt 700R4 automatic transmission.
Additional equipment includes Corvette independent rear suspension with coilovers, 4-wheel power disc brakes, a dropped front axle,
American Racing wheels, a custom driveshaft, brass radiator, powder-coated headers, dual fuel tanks, and a Vega steering box.
The custom interior features blue leatherette seating surfaces, matching side and door panels, a heater, Dynamat sound deadening
material, a tilting steering column, VDO gauges, and more as outlined below. This Deuce roadster is now offered on behalf of the
current owner by a friend.
The steel Brookville body is finished in single-stage urethane Solar Yellow (576), a 2000 model-year Lexus color.
The tilting windshield is chopped 3,” and additional exterior features include a rear roll pan, hinged removable hood
panels and fenders, and Lake pipes. The car is also equipped with a sectioned 1932 Ford grille and shell, and the headlight
wiring is routed through the frame rails. The seller notes three hairline cracks on the leading edge of the hood along
with chips on the lower corner of the trunk lid.
Staggered-diameter American Racing wheels wear Michelin MXV4 XSE Energy radial tires measuring 195/60/15
up front and 235/60/16 out back. Front suspension includes a dropped I-beam axle with a traverse leaf spring, and
the Corvette independent rear suspension is equipped with coilovers. Vented disc brakes are equipped all around
along with stainless steel lines. The removable dark blue fabric soft top features an aluminum frame and attaches
to the body with snaps. The convertible top assembly can be removed and stowed in the cargo area according to the seller.
Blue leatherette upholstery covers the seats, door panels, shifter, brake pedal shaft, windlace, and cargo area.
Dynamat sound deadening material is applied to the body and floors, and the car also features a heated bench seat
with storage underneath, retractable seat belts, blue carpeting, a tilt steering column, an electric wiper with a
removable arm, a 12-disc CD changer, battery cutoff switch, brushed aluminum hardware, cargo area lighting, and a
heater mounted underneath the dashboard. Rubber bumpers are missing from both door latch pillars, and a new wiper
blade is recommended. The Pioneer stereo and dual horns are not connected.
A leather-trimmed steering wheel fronts an aluminum instrument panel housing VDO gauges. The digital odometer displays approximately
3,800 miles, 100 miles riven by the current owner since purchace of the car
Power is from a 350ci V8 which is believed to have been sourced from a mid-1990s Chevrolet Corvette. Equipment includes
a brass radiator with an electric fan, as well as custom powder-coated headers with chrome heat-shields feeding dual
stainless steel mufflers.
Power is routed through a rebuilt 700R4 automatic transmission with overdrive and a Corvette rear end. The body is channeled
over fully boxed American Stamping frame rails, and other equipment include a chrome-plated Vega steering box, chrome master
cylinder, custom driveshaft, and two inter-connected fuel tanks with a secondary back-up electric pump, which are switched or
turned off via a switch under the dashboard. A removable plexiglass panel is fitted in the cargo area and exposes the rear differential.
