I am a recording enthusiast who is competent at some elements of recording, but ducking/sidechaining is eluding me. I need someone to come in and sit at my desk and walk me through some ways to duck one music track with intermittent vocals from another. I'm using Reaper but I'd imagine any seasoned DAW user could help. I'm willing to pay for a session. The material I'm working on is of the hard rock genre (very Hendrix inspired), and well performed by professional musicians. Kindly respond if interested.

30yr old male bassist looking to put together a British covers/tribute band.
The aim is to evolve a set list & band that plays British rock/pop. My own personal influences are 60s mod & 90s Britpop, but it would be nice to play a wide variety on the British theme, so I’m open to all suggestions (literally)!
Looking to have a laugh as a Brit who’s recently moved here with previous weddings band experience in England. Practise a bit, commit to a democratically chosen set list, then proceed to play a couple of pubs to see how it goes down live.
Really not looking for egos, rulers, or those looking to break the world with originality. Simply a pub covers band, whose members have a laugh whilst playing a few British tunes.
I believe there to be a niche market for this category of band if the wheels were ever to start rolling… I am confident pub gigs would not be hard to come by for a cohesive outfit.
Song choice should not pose a problem given the cannon to choose from, and the openness of members.

I am a guitar/bass player and aspiring recording engineer. I have a current song I need drums for. I've hired a few drummers off of Fiverr for this particular song but haven't been able to get what I need since it has some tricky off-time parts. I have a set of Roland TD30KVS here, but as a mere hobbyist drummer I'm not good enough to pull it off. I think I could work it out with a real drummer if I had one here in the studio.
The kit is set up left handed since I am, but it's a real pain to switch it to right hand. If there's any left handed drummers out there interested in giving this a go I'd like to hear from you. I'm willing to pay for a track that I will use. The genre is hard rock.

My name is Dearian Seepersad, I'm a Music Teacher, Performer, and Composer. For the last 5 years I've been performing all over the GTA, including: festivals; pride, multi-cultural, afro-fest, private functions, restaurants, bars, and producing my local show while producing tracks for local Toronto artists. This year, I'm building my independent music school from my home studio. (Big Project!) Too often, I hear about beginner students horror stories about learning in the classical vein or the lack of purpose in general lesson plans. My focus is to create a unique lesson plan for each student to maximize efficiency while incorporating my teaching style into the plan. I incorporate musical expression, technique, and theory into each lesson while taking we've learnt and reworking it into something original. Composition being the ultimate goal; as we learn a lot quicker thinking for ourselves. There are no limitations, I've taught and performed in many genres: Classical, Jazz, Rock,Pop,Reggae, Blues, Hip-hop, Gospel, Fusion, the list goes on... So who am I? I'm a 24 year old musician who's extremely passionate about ALL music. - Completed 3 years Mohawk College Applied Music program. - 5 years teaching experience. (Includes leading band rehearsal and performances) - Developed and promoted shows - Constantly studying the scripts of the great classical composers. - Most important: Patient and Understanding. The lessons I'm offering are: Guitar, Bass, Keyboard, Recording, and Drums. (Drums taught by another teacher) We will discuss: Structure (Form), Harmony, Melody, Counterpoint, Sightreading and Improvisation while meeting the technical demands of instrument.
Each lesson will be 30 - 45 minutes with the option to have the lesson at your location/home. My rates are fair and negotiable. We all have our lives and circumstances going on; it's okay. Mature keyboard available. I have played for many years in bands and have recently moved to the Peterborough / Lindsay area. My previous bands typically played at dances, weddings and some bars playing genres of classic rock, pop, new country, current and old covers, etc.
