The art contains twelve forms (kata) and were developed in part by Shimizu Takaji and by a committee tasked with the creation of a compact Jōdō system to be taught mainly in Kendo dojo. The result was the Zen Ken Renmei Seitei Jōdō system containing twelve forms (kata) and twelve basic techniques (kihon).
It is a great champion art for those doing other forms of Japanese Martial Arts.
Both the basic techniques and forms are drawn primarily from the koryu martial art Shinto Muso-ryu. The kata were chosen from the three first series of SMR, Omote, chudan and Ran ai as they were seen to best represent the art. Ten of these kata were taken from the existing SMR kata but with minor modifications as to better suit the requirements of the Kendo Federation. The two other kata was created specifically for the new Seitei Jōdō system and was not part of the original SMR-system. Seitei Jodo is today taught as a part of the Zen Nihon Kendo Renmei (All Japan Kendo Federation).

Hey,
I'm a 27yr old guitar player. I've been playing guitar for about 7-8 years. I can not learn by ear, but I can read tabs. I play mostly hard rock/heavy metal. I'm not a crazy shredder, but I can play lead or rhythm. I have all my own professional quality gear, and I have my own transportation. I have some live stage experience, and I have very little recording experience. I'm looking for a laid-back but semi serious band. Im looking to play shows, but I'm not looking to make this a career. Some of my influences are Black Stone Cherry, Bleeker Ridge, Pantera, and Bullet for my Valentine. If anyone is interested, shoot me a message anytime. The closer to Lindsay, the better or if the scheduling works out, Oshawa is alright

Niten is a school of Kenjutsu(swordsmanship) founded by the students of Musashi in the 17th Century in Japan of the Edo period. It is composed of paired sets. It is great champion art to those who practice other traditional Japanese Budo. What Is Iaido
Iaido is a martial art that involves no direct physical contact or combat with other individuals in the Dojo. Practitioners perform patterns, called "kata", that represent confrontational situations where he or she is attacked by one or more opponents. Almost all patterns are solo; that is, there is no physical enemy. There are some two-person kata, but these are choreographed, with one person defending against a pre-defined series of attacks. Solo kata involve drawing the sword, making one or more cuts, cleaning the blade, and returning the sword to the scabbard with concentration and focus. Please call: 705 868 5754

Hi, I’m looking for other musicians to start a band, or to join an existing band. I’m 25, but have lots of playing, gigging and recording experience. I am pretty open genre-wise, however would like to be in the rock/punk realm.

hi there,
my name is jess, I am a singer/ songwriter from ptbo, and I have lots of experience with gigging, and putting projects together! I'm looking for somebody that's just into jamming/ learning a few of my songs for fun, and if things progress accordingly play a few shows here in town.
my music is heavier... kind of like a metal band and a skate punk band had a baby, and then that baby was too cranky to find a bass player and lead singer. so then the baby starts using an octave pedal and XYZ splitter, so they can do all the parts themselves. but then the baby was like [it was a talking baby], "but who's going to play the drums?!" and then realized that the only way to get the drops and punches they wanted was to find a drummer. me... I'm that baby.
send me a text if you're interested! 705 931 0499
