Pontiac Aztek Aztec 2003 FWD LOW KMS
Description
Hello, I am selling my Gold 2003 Pontiac Aztek (Aztec) FWD. I am its 2nd owner. I bought it in May 2014 with 51,000 KM. I have driven it to 175,000 KM and it has treated me wonderfully! The only reason I am selling is because I have a very steep drive way and needed to buy an AWD vehicle for the winters. It has some awesome features such as automatic headlights, tilting and sliding moon roof and removable rear seats. The car has a huge trunk, with a tailgate that actually has butt grooves and cup holders built in! I do have the tent for it if you are into camping. Camping in it is great because you don't feel that wet/soggy feeling in the morning like you do in a tent. It fits a queen sized mattress in it perfectly. I also have an extra set of winter rims and tires with it. Currently the winters are installed and have a good 2 seasons left on them. The all seasons are probably needing replacing next year, but have some tread left.
The car's locks, windows, CD player, cruise control, air and heat all work perfectly! It has keyless entry fobs however the plastic key rings are broken. I don't know if this can be fixed to put on a keychain, I just carried them around in my pocket. The car has a couple minor stains/marks in the upholstery, but no rips or tears. If the car is detailed, it will look near new.
The Aztek's body is in great condition with barely any rust. The only rust that is forming is on the inside of the door frames on the bottom of the rear door jams. The only cosmetic problem is a slight crunch (pictured) on the rear driver side bumper. Other than the the paint and windows all seem is great condition. It has not been in an accident.
The car starts and runs without a problem (I was driving it up until a few weeks ago). However, there is something wrong with the exhaust, the car runs very loudly! It started back in March right before lockdown, and I barely drove until I went back to work in September. It is annoying, but has not affected the performance. Other than that, mechanically it is fairly sound. I have taken care of it mostly myself with oil and filter changes, breaks being done, tires rotated, etc. I have receipts to show work done by shops. Starter was replaced 2 winters ago, battery roughly 3 years ago, Brake lines 4 years ago and hub assemblies about 1.5 years ago. The engine light is on, I believe it is an O2 filter/exhaust issue. I have had it come on and off for years. The only other issue is that the fuel gauge doesn't work properly. I believe it is an issue with the float, as it will read full, and then go down slowly, then empty, then jump back up. It should be a cheap fix. I have been driving it like this for 3 years, simply using the tripometer as a guide (gets between 450-500 KM per tank).
I am selling the car as-is. It will probably need some work to e-test regarding the exhaust/muffler issue. They may just have to turn off the light? For the safety I think it should be fine, unless the muffler is a concern. I am asking $2,250 OBO. Looking around on Kijii, this is the lowest KM and possibly best condition Aztek in all of Ontario. A very rare find in this condition (just like Walter White from Breaking Bad!) I have treated it like my baby, and hate to see it go. Please email me with any questions or to set up a time to view it. I am located just east of Peterborough in Indian River.
